National Institute of Music and Dance

The National Institute of Music and Dance (NIMiT) supports professional musicians, dancers, and artistic institutions in their mission. NIMiT operates as a state-run cultural institution and its activities encompass the development and professionalization of music and dance communities in Poland; music and dance education; development of infrastructure and scientific research; cultural education and fostering wide interest in music and dance; protection and promotion of cultural heritage in Poland and abroad. NIMiT also supports numerous activities to preserve, transmit, continue, and develop traditional culture and promotes the inclusion of artists with disabilities into the mainstream of culture and art.
