The Allard Pierson is the museum and knowledge institute for the heritage collections of the University of Amsterdam. Linking up the world of the university to society at large lies at the core of everything we do.
In the collecting area History of the performing arts music, drama, dance and circus are particularly well represented. A smaller section is devoted to cabaret, opera, operetta, musical, mime and puppetry.
